Bal with Duo Gestrikt

This September, we welcome the Ghent-based Duo Gestrikt to Balhalla! This young folk band delivers a danceable mix of original compositions and traditional melodies – from dreamy mazurkas to lively polkas – a guaranteed party!

The duo consists of Victor Schollaert (diatonic accordion, vocals, piano) and Benoit Verbeiren (bagpipes, clarinet). They met at the Gooik academy and have since become a staple on the balfolk scene. You may have seen them perform at events such as the Boombalfestival, Bal&Basta, the Gentse Feesten, and muziekclub ’t Ey.
