Balfolk with Laouen
On 18 November, we welcome Laouen, a versatile balfolk duo featuring Belgian accordionist Bert Leemans and Dutch folk flutist Ies Muller. Breton, French and Irish melodies – from traditional tunes to original compositions – come together in a lively and dynamic sound. Expect music that transports you to another world and draws you onto the dance floor almost instantly!

Their paths had crossed many times before in several projects, so it was only a matter of time that Bert Leemans (chromatic accordeon) and Ies Muller (wooden flutes and bombard) were going to form a duo. And here it is! In an pleasant dynamic mixture Breton, French and Irish melodies, both traditional and new compositions, flow together seamlessly.
